Differentiating itself from its siblings, the exterior of the 2018 Porsche 911 GTS features a wide-body rear end, a Porsche Sport Design front fascia and a full complement of satin black appliques and badging.

The GTS-spec 3.0-litre flat-six develops 30bhp more than a Carrera S (at 444bhp) and 37lb ft more torque (at 406lb ft). That’s good for a 0-62mph launch time of 3.6 seconds (0.6 seconds quicker than a Carrera 4S) and a top speed of 191mph.

All GTS models arrive with a long list of performance-enhancing upgrades as standard fitment. These include Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in staggered 245/35-20 (front) and 305/30-20 (rear) tires, and a multi-piston braking system. Stick-shift models boast Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) and a mechanical rear differential lock, while PDK-equipped models are equipped with Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+) and an electronically controlled rear differential lock.

To improve handling, the GTS stands nearly a half-inch lower (dropping its rotational center of gravity), and its rear track is 1.6 inches wider than standard 911 models
