Being the first diesel car in the family had its doubts at first, but the test drive took that away, as this turned out to not be a sluggish car. Being a diesel, the diesel burns better, and therefore delivers higher torque (measured by Nm-1). At 2 years old now, this car has mostly been wonderful to drive. The built quality of the interior is simply comfortable - and makes it such an easy car to drive. My only qualm? SUVs ROLL! For those who don't understand roll in car, it simply means that when cornering, your car doesnt maintain it's level, and therefore, you find your whole body slowly being pulled away to either side of where the car turns from (turn left, you'll be thrown rightwards). Acceleration and overtaking is great. NVH is great. Cruising at 120km/h is a breeze in this car. Want to cruise a little faster? - No problem! This car makes for a great daily driver + highway cruiser. On top of that, just look at it from the outside - it's such a beauty to look at! Less

I’ve been driving the CX5 for the past 4 years and it has been a pleasant experience. The 2.0 has sufficient power to go on any terrain with a full load. The fuel consumption is good, using 50 liters of fuel gets me around 650kms of mileage on mixed roads. There is no issues with service and technical support. The two things to look out for is that the back seat isn’t as roomy or comfortable as its competitors. It loses out in booth space as well giving it a stylish back look. Got the CX 5, 2.0GLS in silver. This is a very good looking car compared with any vehicles at this price point. The interior feels really Premium and is comparable to continental cars. Handling is magical and does not feel like driving anything bulky. Reliability is great though too soon to tell as I have owned mine for less than 6 months. So far, service experience is very pleasant and free with Mazda's free 5 years or 100k km free warranty and maintenance. What's not to like? Less

If you choose the diesel version you may regret later. The reason because all mazda diesel engine must run on EURO 5 diesel with max 5% of biodiesel. You can google it.
