BMW Malaysia celebrates 50 Years of the 3 Series with M340i 50 Jahre at RM396k

BMW Group Malaysia has kicked off celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of one of its most iconic models — the 3 Series, which has played a defining role in shaping not only the global image of the BMW brand but also Malaysia’s own automotive landscape since the 1970s.

To commemorate this milestone, BMW Group Malaysia unveiled the new M340i xDrive Edition 50 Jahre, a limited-edition model that celebrates five decades of the 3 Series' legacy. Limited to just 50 units in Malaysia and each priced at RM396,800, this exclusive model is available only through the BMW Shop Online platform.

“The BMW 3 Series has earned an enduring place in the hearts of fans not only globally, but right here in Malaysia,” said Benjamin Nagel, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia. “As we look toward the future, the 3 Series continues to evolve, seamlessly merging its rich heritage with the latest advancements in technology and performance. The introduction of the M340i xDrive Edition 50 Jahre is a celebration of this journey — one that has continually redefined the driving experience.”

The new M340i xDrive Edition 50 Jahre features a host of premium upgrades, including Sensatec upholstery, Active Cruise Control with Stop&Go function, Parking Assistant Plus, and a Luxury Instrument Panel. The exterior boasts M Performance enhancements like side skirt extensions, an M Rear Spoiler, and unique "50 Jahre Edition" insignia engraved on the B-pillars and cup holder plaque. Inside, drivers are treated to M Performance carbon fibre gearshift paddles and an Alcantara-wrapped centre armrest, further underscoring the car’s exclusivity.

Interested buyers can secure one of the 50 available units by visiting, selecting their colour and preferred dealership, and placing a booking fee of RM3,400. Once confirmed, they can complete the purchase process in person at the selected dealership.

To further mark the golden jubilee of the BMW 3 Series, BMW Group Malaysia is hosting a three-day event at The Yard, Sentul Depot from April 18 to April 20, 2025. Open to the public from 10 AM to 6 PM, the event promises an immersive journey through the model’s history, showcasing all seven generations of the BMW 3 Series.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the model's evolution, participate in exclusive activities, and even take part in limited driving exercises featuring the BMW 330i M Sport — offering fans a firsthand experience of the marque’s legendary driving dynamics.
