The expanded line-up reflects the changing role pick-up trucks. Once viewed primarily as commercial workhorses, today they are increasingly expected to double as family vehicles, daily commuters and adventure machines. By introducing the new Platinum, Sport and XL variants, Ford aims to provide buyers with more options tailored to different lifestyles, business needs and budgets. The Ranger's success in Malaysia mirrors its popularity on a global scale. Ford has maintained its position as the world's best-selling pick-up manufacturer over the past decade, with around 5.1 million Rangers sold in more than 180 markets over the last 20 years. The model has also collected numerous international accolades, including the 2025 North American Truck of the Year title, while continuing to dominate sales charts in Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam and across Europe. Closer to home, the Ranger has enjoyed similar recognition with various accolades in the form of both Editor’s and People’s Choice Awards being snagged up by the many variants of the Ford Ranger over the years. According to Auto ConneXion Managing Director Turse Zuhair, surpassing the 24,000-unit mark reflects the confidence Malaysians have placed in the Ranger's capability, durability and overall ownership experience. He added that the milestone also reflects Ford's continued emphasis on quality, highlighted by the brand's recognition as the highest-ranked mainstream automotive manufacturer in the 2026 J.D. Power U.S. Initial Quality Study. Beyond expanding its product portfolio, Ford is also investing in aftersales support to enhance the ownership experience. The company has established a new East Malaysia Parts Hub in Kota Kinabalu, a move aimed at improving parts availability and reducing turnaround times for customers in Sabah and Sarawak. ✕ Let's Connect on Whatsapp We protect your personal information in compliance with the PDPA I agree with Carlist.my Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
