Home News Auto News New G81 2026 BMW M3 Touring Competition M xDrive now in Malaysia - first-ever M3 wagon, 530 PS, from RM 898,800 New G81 2026 BMW M3 Touring Competition M xDrive now in Malaysia - first-ever M3 wagon, 530 PS, from RM 898,800 Auto News Amirul Kamaruddin https://www.carlist.my/authors/100117/amirul-kamaruddin | July 16, 2026 11:45 am Since its debut in 1986, the revered BMW M3 has never been offered in a wagon body style. That changed with the sixth-generation M3, which, for the first time ever, is available as a wagon, or Touring in BMW's lingo. Now, the M3 Touring (chassis code G81) has officially arrived in Malaysia. Unlike the sedan, the M3 Touring is available exclusively in Competition guise. This means its S58 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged inline-6 engine has been tuned to produce 530 PS at 6,250 rpm and 650 Nm of torque from 2,750 to 5,730 rpm. Power is channelled to all four wheels via an 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission and BMW's M xDrive all-wheel drive system (no manual here, sorry), allowing the wagon to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds before reaching a top speed of 250 km/h. The M xDrive system isn't just there to provide extra traction when exiting corners, with the M Sport Differential helping to optimise traction and handling balance. It also features a dedicated 2WD mode, allowing drivers to drift the M3 Touring like a traditional rear-wheel-drive car. The M3 Touring's larger body necessitates additional structural reinforcement. To compensate, BMW has fitted extra torsion struts at the rear, complementing the bracing elements already found in the sedan. Further helping the wagon live up to its M badge is an Adaptive M Suspension that automatically adapts to changing road conditions and driving styles, as well as M Compound brakes with high-gloss red brake callipers. On the outside, the M3 Touring Competition gets redesigned Adaptive LED headlights with Matrix technology and High Beam Assistant. These are complemented by M Lights Shadowline and M high-gloss Shadowline trim with extended contents. Buyers can choose between Skyscraper Grey and Isle of Man Green, with the former available with either Merino Yas Marina Blue or Merino Silverstone upholstery, while the latter is paired exclusively with Merino Kyalami Orange. Completing the look are staggered M forged alloy wheels measuring 19 inches at the front and 20 inches at the rear in Double-spoke Style 825 M Bicolour Black design. Inside, the M-specific cabin features an M Alcantara steering wheel with contrast stitching in M colours, a flattened bottom section and a red 12 o'clock marker. Also onboard are standard M Carbon bucket seats, M Carbon Fibre interior trim finishers, a luxury instrument panel and galvanic embellishers for the controls. The driver-focused BMW Curved Display combines a 12.3-inch instrument display and a 14.9-inch control display with an M-specific interface design. Standard equipment also includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, BMW Maps navigation, and a Harman Kardon surround sound system with 16 speakers, a 464-watt amplifier and nine channels. Being a Touring, practicality hasn't been forgotten either, with 500 litres of luggage space, expandable to 1,510 litres with the rear seats folded, along with an automatic tailgate for added convenience. As for pricing, the BMW M3 Touring Competition M xDrive is priced at RM 898,800, or RM 950,900 with BMW's Service & Repair Inclusive (BSRI) programme included. For comparison, the M3 Competition M xDrive sedan is priced at RM 847,800, or RM 899,900 with the package included. The BSRI programme includes a five-year unlimited mileage warranty, along with five years or 100,000 km of service coverage. Customers also receive BMW Roadside Assistance, which provides 24/7 emergency support including towing, courtesy cars and hotel accommodation in the event of an emergency. ✕ Let's Connect on Whatsapp We protect your personal information in compliance with the PDPA I agree with Carlist.my Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
