Although such infrastructure causes higher investment, the minister Alexander Nanta Linggi added that it is necessary to curb the increase of motorcycle- related accidents. “We are well aware of the statistics from the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research that show many fatalities in Malaysia are caused by motorcycle accidents,” he said as quoted from Bernama.
