Now, Malaysians have a chance to get their hands on this electrifying (pun intended) duo, as Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) has released a teaser for both models, signalling their arrival on our shores very soon. However, an exact launch date has yet to be confirmed. What is confirmed is that Registration of Interest (ROI) for both models is already open via Hyundai’s official website. There are also indications that things could move quickly, with sources suggesting both models may be available for booking as early as May during MARii’s Penang Autoshow 2026, which runs from 1 to 3 May. If accurate, this would point to a launch window that may be sooner than expected. On the performance side, both models pack serious firepower. The Ioniq 5 N is powered by a dual-motor setup producing up to 650 PS and 770 Nm of torque with N Grin Boost activated, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 3.4 seconds before reaching a top speed of 260 km/h. The Ioniq 6 N has the same powertrain and output figures, but its sleeker streamliner design gives it a slight edge in acceleration, completing the century sprint in 3.2 seconds. Its top speed, however, is slightly lower at 257 km/h. Both BEVs are equipped with an 84 kWh battery pack, offering WLTP-rated ranges of 448 km for the Ioniq 5 N and 487 km for the Ioniq 6 N. Both models also support ultra-fast charging of up to 350 kW. As for pricing, nothing has been officially announced yet, but both models are expected to sit in the premium performance segment. For context, the Ioniq 5 N is priced at around 3.79 million baht in Thailand (approximately RM470,000), providing a rough indication of where it may be positioned locally. ✕ Let's Connect on Whatsapp We protect your personal information in compliance with the PDPA I agree with Carlist.my Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
