The move signals Hyundai’s intention to widen its retail and aftersales coverage in Malaysia with support from one of the country’s most established automotive groups. Under the LOI, Hyundai and EON will set up two new dealerships located in the Klang Valley and Penang. Both outlets are targeted to open in the first half of 2026. These regions were chosen due to strong sales potential and growing interest in hybrid and advanced mobility technologies. Hyundai says the collaboration is part of its long-term plan to make ownership more convenient for Malaysian customers. By adding more touchpoints, the brand aims to improve accessibility for both sales and after-sales while strengthening customer confidence through consistent support nationwide.# Hyundai Motor Malaysia's Managing Director, Ms Jahabarnisa Haja Mohideen, said the partnership allows Hyundai to combine its global expertise with EON’s extensive local footprint. EON Berhad CEO Mr Akkbar Danial added that the company sees Hyundai as a strong addition to its portfolio as it continues to explore new mobility opportunities. EON currently operates one of the largest retail and service networks in Malaysia.
