New 2026 Porsche Cayenne launched in Malaysia from RM609k; new colour, wheels and 10-year connectivity

Porsche Malaysia, represented by Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP), has officially launched the updated 2026 Porsche Cayenne and Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe.

The duo, locally assembled at the Inokom plant in Kulim, Kedah, arrives with a mild visual refresh, new equipment upgrades, updated connectivity features, and added standard kit tailored specifically for the Malaysian market.

On the outside, both the Cayenne and Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe now come equipped as standard with 21-inch RS Spyder wheels, a design previously reserved for optional specification.

For those seeking a more individual touch, the Exclusive Manufaktur Package is available. While pricing has yet to be confirmed, it sharpens the SUV’s presence with the Sport Design kit, which brings redesigned front and rear aprons, side skirts, and wheel arch trims and exterior mirrors finished in body colour for a more unified appearance.

Adding contrast are tinted LED taillights, though these are exclusive to the Cayenne, alongside C-blades finished in high-gloss black for a more aggressive rear stance.

Inside, the package continues the theme with Porsche logo LED courtesy lights, a centre console armrest embossed with the Porsche crest, and a vehicle key finished to match the exterior colour for a more personalised touch.

On the colour front, Porsche Malaysia introduces a new Arctic Grey finish, which will only be available from July onwards. The shade first made its debut on the 718 Cayman GT4 RS and has since extended to the 911 lineup.

Beyond the visual updates, Porsche Connect is now extended to 10 years, giving owners longer access to connected services via the Porsche app, including real-time vehicle data and selected remote functions.

Elsewhere, the equipment list remains unchanged, but still comprehensive. It includes a 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch central Porsche Communication Management (PCM) touchscreen, Bose surround sound system, Sport Chrono Package, soft-close doors, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), among others.

Mechanically, both models remain familiar. The Cayenne continues with a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 producing 353 PS and 500 Nm, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

The Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe retains the same petrol engine but adds a 177 PS (130 kW) electric motor, resulting in a combined output of 519 PS.

Pricing starts at RM609,000 for the Cayenne, while the Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe is priced at RM739,000. Both models are now open for booking in Malaysia.

While I wouldn’t label myself a hardcore petrolhead, I’ve always had a deep appreciation for cars and the simple joy of driving. For me, getting behind the wheel is a therapeutic escape.
