Home News Auto News What the 2018 Volkswagen CC May Look Like What the 2018 Volkswagen CC May Look Like Auto News Aswan | August 10, 2020 06:26 pm The Volkswagen CC has always been a more interesting alternative to the Volkswagen Passat, being based on the same platform but featuring a much sportier roofline. For our local market, we were blessed with higher performance variants of the first generation Volkswagen CC, with a 2.0-litre turbo and a 3.6-litre V6 to pick from. The second generation saw options limited to the same 1.8-litre turbo powertrain that powered the regular Passat, so the CC was little more than a slightly sportier looking variant. But with the new Passat, there is a new CC as well. Various blogs have spotted it roaming around the Nurburgring and the like, dressed in camouflage. Rumour has it that it will be a 5-door liftback instead of the 4-door sedan of before, which has always made more sense when a sloping rear is available. Remco Meulendijk of RM CarDesign has provided some high quality renders of what he thinks the car will look like, and it's certainly stunning. From the more aggressive front end to the tapering roofline, it's a solid contender against the Mercedes CLS and the BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe, albeit at a much lower price point. Let's just hope we get some more exciting powertrains this time around. ✕ Let's Connect on Whatsapp We protect your personal information in compliance with the PDPA I agree with Carlist.my Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
