Several quantitative measurements were taken into consideration for the Perodua Myvi to win the award which included sales volume for 2014, selling price of the model in 2014, parts costs, fuel consumption, and total cost of ownership over a five-year period or approximately 100,000km usage.
Perodua President and CEO Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh said, “We are excited yet humbled by this award and thank Frost & Sullivan for providing an objective platform to evaluate vehicles for their value. Since the Myvi was launched in 2005, Perodua has managed to sell more than 830,000 units. The B-segment car will celebrate its 10th anniversary in May this year and Aminar says this award arrived timely as the perfect endorsement for the Myvi’s Love of the Nation campaign which is currently running to December this year.
