In the latest round of the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) tests, the Lexus NX has managed to score a five star rating with an overall score of 35.39 out of a possible 37. The model was recently launched in Malaysia as well.

The NX model tested was a left-hand drive 300h AWD variant and in the occupant protection tests, it managed to score 14.39 out of 16 for the frontal offset test, 16 out of 16 for the side impact test, and full points for the pole test.
Whiplash protection was also reported as good. As for the pedestrian protection, the NX scored 24.96 out of 36 points.
