Volkswagen Beetle Collector’s Edition Introduced – The Very Last Beetle You Can Buy

As the world bids farewell to the Volkswagen Beetle this year, Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has unveiled a limited run Collector’s Edition Beetle, as a final salute to the heritage and history of the Bug.

Limited to just 75 units, the Collector’s Edition Beetle is priced at RM164,390 and is available in Blue Silk, Pure White, Habanero Orange and Tornado Red.

The Collector’s Edition comes decked out with a list of accessories worth up to RM12,000, including a rear spoiler, decorative film, chrome exhaust tips, aluminium sports pedals, scuff plates, VW Tint, and an emblem marking its production run.

All 75 owners will additionally receive an official Collector’s Edition certificate of ownership.

Designed by Ferdinand Porsche in 1938, over 21.5 million units of the Beetle have been sold globally, making it one of the best-selling cars in the 20th century. After three generations, Volkswagen will cease production of the Beetle, in July.

All Collector’s Edition Beetles are offered VPCM’s commonplace 3-year free maintenance, 5-year unlimited mileage warranty, and 5 years roadside assistance.

The launch of the Collector’s Edition Beetle is part of Volkswagen’s Bye Bye Beetle campaign, which culminates with The Iconic Gathering happening on the 13th of July in Putrajaya. Here, Volkswagen will be attempting to break the current Malaysia record of the largest Beetle gathered at one location during the event and is calling out to all owners of the classic and current Beetle to join in the effort.
