Following the launch of the new 2023 Toyota Prius back in January, the new plug-in hybrid version was developed under the "Hybrid Reborn" concept and will be offered as the Z grade starting 15 March 2023. The Z grade in particular is now labeled as the 'high-performance' version or variant and the Toyota Prius PHEV comes ready with the brand's latest plug-in hybrid system, which consists of an efficient 2.0-litre petrol engine, high-output drive motor, and a high-capacity battery pack. The same body design can be found with the new Toyota Prius PHEV as the HEV models, but underneath it lies a plug-in hybrid powertrain that can churn out a maximum of 223PS paired with excellent fuel efficiency at 26km/l (with the 19-inch tyres) and 30.1km/l (with the 17-inch tyres). Once the battery pack is fully charged, the 2023 Toyota Prius PHEV can travel at an all-electric distance of 87km when riding on the 19-inch wheels and 105km on the 17-inch rollers - a 75% overall improvement compared to the previous-gen model. The fifth-gen hybrid system also allows it to hit 0-100km/h in just 6.7 seconds. Other highlights include: Regeneration Boost (regen braking) External supply mode (to power external electrical appliances) Second-gen solar charging system (up to 1,250km/year in BEV mode) "My Room Mode" (use of AC and radio when charging) + more For those living in Japan, you can get your very own 2023 Toyota Prius PHEV priced at 4.6 million Yen, which is around RM150k. Six exterior colour options are available - Platinum White Pearl Mica, Ash, Attitude Black Mica, Emotional Red II, Mustard, and Dark Blue. ✕ Let's Connect on Whatsapp We protect your personal information in compliance with the PDPA I agree with Carlist.my Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
