Hyundai has released a first teaser image of its first fully-electric SUV; the Kona Electric ahead of the official unveiling on February 27.
Expected to arrive in markets across Europe in the third quarter of 2018, the Kona Electric will be among the first all-electric compact SUVs to be available to the masses according to Hyundai.
The SUV will feature two different powertrain versions offering customers with almost 470 kilometres of maximum range.
Hyundai also said that drivers will benefit from a wide range of convenience and connectivity features as well as active safety and driving assistance technologies.
Joining Hyundai’s range of eco-friendly vehicles like the ix35, the Nexo, as well as the Ioniq, we expect the Kona Electric to be almost identical to the regular Kona, except for a couple of unique features like the front grille or the wheel design.
Further details will be disclosed on 27 February ahead of the SUV’s world premiere at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.
