All-New Nissan NP300 Navara Coming Soon – From RM89,000?

It looks like the all-new Nissan NP300 Navara is going to be launched in Malaysia very soon as classified ads for the NP300 Navara have started appearing on Carlist.my.

Prices have yet to be confirmed by the ad posted suggested a starting price of RM89,000. The outgoing Navara (D40 generation) double-cab has a starting price of RM86,594 without insurance, stretching to RM101,645 for the top of the range LE variant.

Highlights of the all-new NP300 Navara

The 2.5-litre YD25DDTi diesel engine is carried over from the outgoing Navara, but updated to produce better performance and lower fuel consumption.

Power outputs for the Malaysia market specifications model (compatible with Euro 2M diesel) have yet to be confirmed but the same engine is available in other markets in two power output levels – 190 PS and 163 PS at 3,600 rpm, depending on model. Maximum torque is 450Nm and 403Nm at 2000rpm.

The increase in output is thanks to a new turbocharger with electrical actuator.

The outgoing Navara produces between 174 PS (4WD Double-cab and King Cab model) and 144 PS (2WD Double Cab), 403 Nm and 356 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm.

An all-new 2.3-litre diesel engine is also available in other markets where Euro 5 or higher diesel is widely available (it is only available in selected locations in Malaysia).

The outgoing model’s 5-speed automatic transmission will be replaced with a new seven-speed unit.

Occupants behind are comforted with a rear air-conditioning vent, a first in this segment.

Rumour also has it the Malaysian market NP300 Navara will get a different, more comfortable rear suspension – a five-link live axle with coil springs setup compared to our Thai neighbour’s leaf spring.

We expect the all-new Nissan NP300 Navara to be launched in Malaysia within the next two months.
