With just a week left before Volvo reveals the much anticipated all-new V60 wagon, the brand has decided to hype things up a little by releasing a heart-warming teaser video.
Titled “Designed for generations”, the video shows how Volvo wagons have been a part of many families for generations, and how the owners have formed a sense of trust, as well as an emotional bond with these cars due to their reliability and practicality.
The video then ends with Volvo announcing that the V60 is coming soon, while bits and pieces of the interior and exterior wagon is shown.
“Our cars have been enjoyed, shared and held fondly in the memories of drivers and passengers for decades. In creating the new Volvo V60, we’re continuing a legacy of estates for a new generation,” says Volvo.
From the looks of it, it appears that the next generation V60 could look like a smaller V90, down to its signature Thor headlights and vertical tail lights.
Similar to its stablemates, the all-new Volvo V60 rides on the company’s Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform. The new model is also expected to share powertrains with other SPA-based models, so a 400 hp and 640 Nm T8 Twin Engine Volvo V60 could very well happen in the future.
