It's been a long while since the super car world witnessed a perfectly timed rivalry from the players at the very forefront of the game.
From the early days of Mercedes-Benz and Auto Union's pursue of land speed records, the rivalry between Ferrari and Lamborghini, the outright dominance of the McLaren F1 during its era, and to the more recent, the Ferrari Enzo that's constantly pitted against the Porsche Carrera GT in the minds of petrol heads.
And what we have here, is the holy trinity. To have the Ferrari LaFerrari, the McLaren P1 and the Porsche 918 Spyder all in one mother of all shoot outs. All three hypercars conincidentally, aim use hybrid powertrains to provide aided thrusts to boost performance, while each came up with its own unique solution; all in the name of pursuing ultimate levels of performance.
What's interesting, is the willingness of both McLaren and Porsche to pit their cars against each other, which puts in deep constrast Ferrari's notorious 'warning memo' to every single LaFerrari owner, barring them from providing their own car for any form of performance tests with its rivals.
Paul Bailley however, who famously purchased all three hypercars and collected them within the same day, has provided all three of his prized belongings to SupercarDriver to see which is the fastest around the Silverstone track in UK. As the video will only surface in November, what we have here, is a teaser. Enjoy.
