New Porsche Panamera Launched In Malaysia - From RM 1,026,735

An update that sneaked in under the radar, but one that refreshes the Panamera range.

While all the talk surrounding Porsche in the last few weeks and months has been about the all-electric Taycan and the GT3, over here in Malaysia we can welcome the new Panamera. One of the larger changes is the introduction of Porsche Connect, available for the first time in Malaysia for the Panamera, and offering online connectivity among other services.

As is the case with most Porsche model updates, there are a million little changes under the surface that all serve to improve the overall behaviour and refinement of the vehicle. Even the tyres the Panamera comes with are an entirely new generation, providing improved characteristics that work in harmony with more precise steering, optimized shock absorbers and roll stabilization, and even the engine and axle mounts.

The result is a wider range of characteristics, between comfortable cruiser and sporty sedan. Even the braking system has been made lighter and more resistant to deformation, with better brake feel and precision even under the hardest of emergency stops. Ten different wheel options are available now, with either 20 or 21-inch flavours and sportier tyre options to boot.

To reflect the more sporty nature, the new Panamera comes as standard with the Sport Design front end, featuring larger air intakes for both the grille and the side, and a single-bar front light layout. The rear light strip also runs seamlessly across the width of the car, much in line with Porsche's most current design. In contrast, safety and assistance systems such as Lane Keeping Assist with road sign recognition, Night Vision Assist, Lane Change Assist, and LED matrix headlights are also included.

For now only the base model has been updated, with more variants probably arriving in the months to come. Pricing starts at RM 1,026,735 with SST exemptions.
