Novitec says McLaren Elva's 815hp is not enough, adds 104hp more

Remember the roofless McLaren Elva hyper-roadster with no windshield and 815hp? Apparently, the guys from Novitec think that it's not powerful enough.

The German-based tuner is offering quite the tune-up for the rare McLaren Elva, which is a crazy idea to begin with since there will only be 149 units to be made by the British supercar manufacturer. The result is nothing short of bonkers.

815hp to 919hp, 800Nm to 888Nm torque

The already impressive 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 found in the McLaren Elva has the capabilities to deliver some heavyweight punches thanks to 815hp and 800Nm of torque on tap. Novitec takes things up a few notches with their offerings of three different performance kits that include a module for the car's electronic engine control system, high-performance exhaust, and thermal insulation using 999 gold plating. Ballin'.

The result? A power boost to 919hp and 888Nm of torque - an increase of 104hp and 88Nm, which is not child's play for any car that receives this kind of treatment, let alone the rare McLaren Elva. The end result is an Elva that can hit 0-100km/h in just 2.7 seconds and 200km/h four seconds after that. Top speed? Over 330km/h. With no roof and no windshield.

Other additions offered by Novitec to increase the Elva's overall handling are hi-tech forged wheels in collaboration with Vossen, sport springs that also lower the ride height by 20mm, and other cosmetic upgrades using the finest leather and Alcantara finished in any style and colour requested by the customer.
