PLUS Releases Travel Time Advisory For 2015 Raya ‘Balik Kampung’ Journeys

Planning that Balik Kampung trip? Good news then, because PLUS has just revealed its Travel Time Advisory (TTA) for the coming Hari Raya season.

Estimating up to 1.6 milliion vehicles to be using the North-South Expressway (NSE) throughout the Hari Raya holidays alone, PLUS Managing Director, Dato’ Noorizah Hj Abd Hamid said that, “As such, we advise the public planning to travel on the NSE on these Peak Days to follow the TTA. Based on our studies, higher adoption rate of the TTA by the public for outbound and inbound journey had resulted in smoother traffic flow on the mainline.”

The TTA provided in the image below suggests ideal travel times for those planning their trips during “peak days,” between the 16^th and 20^th of July.

In conjunction with the announcement of its TTA, PLUS also wishes to remind travellers to make the most of its rebates for the season.

“As part of an effort to encourage more from the Klang Valley to head back to their hometowns on Off-Peak Days and at the same time, distribute the traffic, PLUS will be offering toll rebates between 30 and 50 percent,” Noorizah elaborated.
