Tokyo 2017: Suzuki To Unveil At Least Three Concepts This Year

While many of us are still not done drooling over the cars unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show a couple of weeks back, the buildup for the 45th Tokyo Motor Show 2017 has already begun.

All set to be held from 27 October to 5 November at the Tokyo Big Sight, manufacturers like Suzuki here, have already started disclosing details on what we can expect at this year’s show.

With “Excitement for everyone, in everywhere” as the theme, Suzuki said that it will be unveiling three new concepts at this year’s show – the e-Survivor, the Spacia Concept, as well as the Xbee (Crossbee).

First, we have the e-Survivor – a compact SUV of the future powered by an electric motor and electric four-wheel-drive system which inherits many design cues of the current Jimny and the Vitara.

And then, there is the Spacia Concept; a tall miniwagon with low floor, spacious cabin, and rear sliding doors on both sides.

Last but not the least, we have the XBee (cross-bee), a crossover wagon which combines a spacious cabin of a wagon with the rough-road drivability of an SUV.

According to Suzuki, three different versions of the Xbee will be shown – the standard version, Xbee Outdoor Adventure and Xbee Street Adventure – with various cosmetic details to cater to different groups of customers.

These concepts aside, The Suzuki Safety Support new range of safety features which includes automatic braking, false start prevention function, and other preventive safety technologies, will also be launched at this year’s Tokyo Motor Show.
