Toyota has launched the Fine-Comfort Ride fuel cell vehicle (FCV) at the ongoing Tokyo Motor Show, giving visitors a glimpse of what the brand defines as "a new form of the premium saloon."

Powered by hydrogen fuel cell instead of conventional batteries, the Fine-Comfort Ride is capable of achieving a maximum distance of 1,000 km on a single charge.

Toyota says that it takes nothing more than just three minutes to fully charge the concept car.

While exterior highlights include a diamond-shaped body that narrows towards the rear, the vehicle’s cabin features a flexible layout, a touch display arranged around the driver and passenger seats, as well as adjustable seat configuration according to posture.

Speaking of seats, the Fine-Comfort Ride has three rows of seats with seating capacity for six occupants. While the first two rows of seats are individual where first row seats can swivel 180 degrees and the second row has Ottoman and recline function; the third row is a bench.

Measuring 4,830 mm long, 1,950 mm wide, and 1,650 mm tall with a wheelbase length of 3,450 mm, the Fine-Comfort Ride, which is about the same size as the current Toyota Alphard, will be on display at the Tokyo Motor Show until 5 November 2017.
