Velocity Motor Show 2018 All Set To Rock Desa Park City This Malaysia Day

After making waves in Penang and Johor, the Velocity Motor Show 2018 (VMS 2018) is now headed to the central region for a grand event.

All set to take place at the Plaza Arkadia Outdoor Carpark in Desa ParkCity, Kuala Lumpur from 15 to 17 September, 10am to 10pm, VMS 2018 will have a good mixture of cars, music, and other motorsports lifestyle elements.  

Organised by FitzGerald Events, the Velocity Motor Show, which is being held for the third consecutive year, aims to gather car enthusiasts from all over the ASEAN region this year.

Besides that, this year’s VMS will also be a double celebration as it falls on the same long weekend as Malaysia Day.  

According to the organisers, VMS 2018 is not just a showcase of good looking cars, as the 3-day event will be packed with a wide range of activities including extreme sports, entertainment, food, lucky draws and many more.

One of the main highlights of the event is the Big Foot Truck Show where a series of monster trucks will be parading the event location.

And then, we have renowned tuners Liberty Walk Thailand and Malaysia with more than 10 modified machines on display, and a drift challenge with Tengku Djan Ley and Loyai Hanizam as judges.

If drifting is not your thing, there is a Gymkhana challenge organised by GRA, which will see drivers race against time to complete a slalom course.

Besides all of the above, there will be a Car Club Battle and an SQC Club Car Audio Competition with judges from Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Singapore picking their favourite rides out of the lot.

But that’s not all. There will also be new cars for sale, and those who book a new car throughout the three-day event are entitled to free gifts worth more than RM5,000.

On the lifestyle end of things, V-Hypes will be offering its latest street wear collection via a sneakers trade and display event. The brand will also be organising the V-Hypes BMX and Skateboarding Competition.

Last but not the least, live music performances by a good line-up of local acts will be keeping patrons entertained throughout all three days.
