Here’s another look at the all-new Kia Sportage, which will go on sale in Europe in the first quarter of 2016.

To recap, the all-new Kia Sportage will come with a choice of three engines for the European market - 1.6-litre T-GDI turbo petrol (177 PS and 265 Nm), 1.6-litre GDI naturally aspirated petrol (132PS and 161Nm), 1.7-litre CRD-i turbo diesel (115 PS) and a 2.0-litre CRD-i (136 ps with 373 Nm torque, or 184 ps with 400 Nm).

Dimensions have also been increased – wheelbase is now 40 mm longer (2,670 mm) while length is increased by 40 mm to 4,480 mm. Boot capacity is also increased from 465-litres to 503-litres (calculated using VDA method).

Kia also adds that the all-new Sportage is also quieter, measuring just 36 decibels when equipped with a gasoline engine (2 dB lower than the outgoing model) and 44 decibels for diesel models (down from 46 dB). Road noise is further reduced – from 66 to 63 dB.

European market models will come with a full suite of active and passive safety features – autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, high beam assist, blind spot detection, rear cross traffic alert, six airbags, electronic traction and stability control.
