Hyundai Sime-Darby Motors is set to debut the all-new 2017 Elantra in the coming weeks, replacing the outgoing model which has been around since 2012.
Thanks to our friends over at Funtasticko, we can expect HSDM to launch two variants of the all-new 2017 Elantra. The first being the naturally-aspirated 2.0-litre mated to a six-speed automatic. The second engine choice is a 1.6-litre T-GDI engine with 201 hp and 260 Nm, exclusive for the Elantra Sport. On top of the more powerful engine, the Elantra Sport is said to receive Hyundai's own seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).
We understood that Hyundai Sime-Darby Motors will debut the updated Tucson first, before officiating the new Elantra next month. A starting price from the RM100,000 mark is possible for the entry-level Elantra, whilst the turbocharged Elantra Sport could be priced around the RM130,000 mark.
