BMW Malaysia has just introduced the all-new G20 3 Series in Malaysia, currently available as a singular 330i M Sport variant, fully-imported from Germany. Locally-assembled models will only be introduced at a later time.
Powering the new 330i M Sport is a 2.0-litre TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder petrol engine that does 258 hp and 400 Nm. The new 330i M Sport also comes with the new BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant and BMW Digital Key, the latter allowing drivers to lock and unlock the car via the use of NFC, available on selected Samsung devices. BMW Digital Key also allows the car to be started when the compatible phone is place in the designated wireless charging tray.
As for the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, this is a built-in AI assistant that allows the driver to use natural voice to control various functions of the car, similar to the Mercedes-Benz User Experience system first fitted to the W177-generation A-Class. However, unlike the MBUX system's lack of internet connectivity, local spec cars are fitted with an embedded SIM card, allowing for internet connectivity.

Despite that, the 330i M Sport lacks any advanced driving assistance systems such as Autonomous Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Monitor, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, or even a 360-degree camera.
