BMW 1 Series Sedan Launched In Mexico, No Longer China-Exclusive

Initially developed and sold as a China-only model, the BMW 1 Series Sedan has officially gone on sale in Mexico.

For the Mexican market, the BMW 1 Series Sedan is available across two variants. The first is the 118iA Sedan, powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine that does 136 hp and 220 Nm, paired to a 6-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to the front wheels.

The second engine choice is the 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder that forms the 120iA Sedan, capable of delivering 192 hp and 280 Nm. The 120iA Sedan features an 8-speed automatic.

Both the BMW 118iA Sedan and 120iA Sedan are available with the Sport Line package. Equipment such as LED headlights, split folding rear seats and a panoramic sunroof are only available on the more expensive 120iA Sedan.

Prices start from MXN 489,900 (~RM 98,146) for the BMW 118iA Sedan, while the 120iA Sedan will set buyers back MXN 569,900 (~RM 114,168).
