BMW yesterday revealed a limited edition variant of the 2 Series called the M240i M Performance Edition, featuring a plethora of M Performance parts all over.
Powered by a turbocharged in-line six-cylinder engine that is paired to either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic gearbox, the small yet potent car is capable of kicking out 340hp, accelerate from standstill to 100km/h in just 4.4 seconds and clock a top speed of 250km/h.
In addition, the BMW xDrive system is also available as an option, but only with the automatic transmission.
Limited to just 750 units, the M240i M Performance Edition is clad in Alpine White paint, complemented by 19-inch double-spoke forged alloy wheels.
The main highlight is of course, the generous dose of M Performance parts which include the air guides, splitter, black kidney grille bars and bumper lip up front, as well as a matte black carbon fiber spoiler, carbon fiber twin exhausts and a carbon fiber diffuser in the rear.
On the inside, things are left pretty much unchanged, except for the special M Performance steering wheel and the addition of a few ‘M Performance’ emblems.
