Geneva 2017: Renault and Alpine Plan Big Reveals

The Renault Group are planning a poised to make news at the 87th Geneva International Motor Show, happening next month, with important launches across all its brands. Renault, Dacia and crucially the Alpine sub brand will be rolling out their newest metal come March 17th.

Renault will be officially introducing the facelifted Captur which promises to deliver a refreshed take on the urban crossover’s styling and technology suite. The larger Koleos SUV, which also receives its mid-life facelift is also scheduled to be a part of the proceedings.

The main highlight would be Renault’s first-ever 1-ton pick-up truck, the Alaskan, which is based on the Nissan NP300 Navara – courtesy of the longstanding partnership between Renault and Nissan. Renault also promises a ‘surprise’ – with regard to its range of EV cars. For this, we will have to wait and see.

Dacia, Renault’s budget sub-brand plans to roll out its facelifted Logan MCV Stepway, part estate-part crossover, the MCV Stepway is set to introduce upgraded features such as LED daytime running lights, an upgraded infotainment system in the premium variants and hill-start assist. A limited edition model is also in the pipeline.

The most exciting news is perhaps, the return of Alpine, the French manufacturer of sports and racing cars, which has had a long-standing kinship with Renault – returns with the world premiere of its road car.

The Alpine Vision concept, first revealed at last year’s Geneva motor show, is set to return as a fully-fledged production version, come March 17th.
