Jakarta 2017: Toyota Sienta Ezzy – Special Bodykit For The Indonesian Market

The stylish Toyota Sienta MPV gets an injection of sportiness and sophistication in the form of the Toyota Sienta Ezzy that is being showcased at the ongoing Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2017 being held in Jakarta.

Mechanically unchanged from the regular Sienta 1.5 that we are familiar with, the Sienta Ezzy is a local initiative by Toyota’s Indonesia distributor Toyota Astra Motor (TAM).

From the already funky-looking regular Sienta, the Sienta Ezzy gains an even more distinctive appearance with its unique TAM Design all-round bodykit along with new design alloy wheels.

The nose is revamped with an enlarged grille, more angular styling cues, and swathes of silver-accented inserts to give the front end more substantial road presence. Skirtings are added to either side, and the roof is given a white contrast finish.

Less is altered at the rear, though the lower bumper area still gains a more elaborate diffuser-style treatment.

No significant differences are observed inside. The vehicle gets the same black-brownish two-tone interior colour scheme that is similar to what we get in our market. Only noteworthy difference is that the vehicle on display is a 6-speed manual shifter whilst Malaysian cars are exclusively fitted with a CVT.

Like in Malaysia, the Indonesia-spec Sienta is powered by Toyota’s 1.5-litre 2NR-FE four-cylinder petrol engine with Dual VVT-i. Outputs are identical at 107 PS and 140 Nm.
