Home News Auto News Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 4Matic Coupe OrangeArt – 3.0 V6, 390 hp, RM719k Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 4Matic Coupe OrangeArt – 3.0 V6, 390 hp, RM719k Auto News Kon | August 29, 2017 01:09 pm Alongside the locally-assembled GLC 200 launched earlier today, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia additionally adds the Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 Coupe to its model portfolio in the country.Available exclusively in OrangeArt Edition trim, the GLE 43 Coupe further expands MBM’s already extensive portfolio of SUV models whilst also adding to the AMG 43 series range unveiled in Malaysia this year to coincide with local celebrations of AMG’s 50th anniversary.Priced at RM718,888 on-the-road without insurance, the GLE 43 Coupe is currently offered on a per order basis in the Malaysian market.It becomes the range-topping variant of the GLE Coupe range introduced early last year in GLE 400 Coupe and GLE 450 AMG 4Matic Coupe variants; both incidentally powered by 3.0-litre twin turbo V6s in varying states of tune – 333hp and 367hp respectively. The GLC 43 directly replaces the GLE 450.The GLE 43 Coupe is also powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6, but fettled with a more aggressive AMG-optimized tune, puts out 390hp and 520Nm. Drive goes through Merc’s in-house 9G-Tronic torque converter auto to all wheels.Electronically limited to a top speed of 250 km/h, the GLE 43 Coupe sprints from rest to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and records an official fuel consumption of 9.4 litres/100km in the combined cycle (CO2 – 215 g/km).Finishing of the GLE 43 Coupe combines AMG Line trim with Night Package finishing. In conjunction with its OrangeArt Edition spec, the vehicle also sports orange contrast highlights both inside out.
