Perodua has fulfilled roughly 13,000 orders, or 52% out of the 25,000 bookings for the Aruz, which the company introduced earlier this year.
According to Perodua President and Chief Executive Office Dato Zainal Abidin Ahmad, Perodua has managed to increase deliveries of the Aruz from an average of 100 units daily to about 110 units a day. He added that the company is working closely with suppliers to further reduce the gap between orders and deliveries.
Perodua’s own calculations have revealed that the company has sold 22,943 vehicles in May, bringing the total vehicles to date to 105,743. This marks an 8.5% jump over the 97,487 units the company sold from January to May 2018. However, these figures are unofficial and are subject to change pending the official data from the Malaysian Automotive Association,
“To our valued customers whose new cars we could not deliver in time for Raya, we apologise most sincerely and humbly.
“Perodua is doing all it possibly can to maximise production and deliveries to shorten your wait, and we thank you very much for your understanding, patience and trust,” he added.
