According to Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin, the Chairman of the State Investment and Corridor Development Committee, for Proton’s production facility in Tanjung Malim is currently undergoing upgrading and expansion works, thus requiring more land.
He added that the Perak state government will help by expediting the land approval so that Proton’s production won’t be affected.
Furthermore, Mohammad Nizar said that the allocation of area to Proton was part of the support given by the Perak state government to make sure that Proton flourishes and continues to provide job opportunities for the locals.
