The Slick 7th-Gen 2021 Hyundai Elantra To Arrive Before Year-End - Now Open For Booking

Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) has been on a roll the last few months, first unveiling the Kona crossover and then the super slick Sonata sedan.

Just as you think they are done, they're just not quite finished yet for the year, as they plan to release their third car in so many months in the form of the all-new 7th generation 2021 Hyundai Elantra.

The new 2021 Elantra is designed for a generation of car owners who dare to be different, sporty, trendy, and are always ahead of the game according to HSDM and we have to agree because it's designed is completely wild and unlike any that have come before from this segment.

Design highlights of the new Elantra are its dramatic look which the Hyundai designers call the "Futuristic Parametric Dynamics".  It has a chic exterior feature of the three-dimensional design that is carefully crafted like a well-cut jewel with wide stark sidelines.

Moving that sleek body around will be a Smartstream G1.6 MPi petrol engine, which is capable of producing 123PS of power at 6,300rpm and a peak torque of 154Nm at 4,500rpm.

Apart from the striking exterior design, the interior has an "immersive cocoon" feel going for it which not only surrounds the driver with a technologically-advanced sophistication but also makes the driver feel like they have entered an airplane cockpit. A large interface consisting of two harmoniously connected 10.25-inch Supervision TFT and an 8-inch floating display enhances the futuristic feel of the car.

The interior gives the driver access to the latest technology such as Android Auto and Apple Car Play as well as advanced safety features such as Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Assist and Lane Following Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Driver Attention Warning as well as Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.

Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) Managing Director, Mr. Low Yuan Lung said the 7th generation 2021 Hyundai Elantra with its differentiating design will thrill the market. He added that the new look, which takes inspiration from geometric crystals' cut body surfaces, is expected to wow customers due to its uniqueness.

"Not only does the car exude sophistication and sportiness, it also offers a fulfilling driving experience. The Elantra provides exciting driving dynamics with the new Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT). Hyundai's new IVT boasts superior fuel efficiency, improved performance and highly responsive gear change with the incorporation of a gear shift response strategy."

"It is fun to drive a car that is loaded with a host of safety and convenient features, for instance, parking distance warning and wireless phone charging," he added.

Now, how true the above rings we'll have to wait for a test-drive to find out but at RM1XX,888 being anywhere from 100,888 to 199,888 the 2021 Hyundai Elantra has the looks but is it the complete package?
