Home News Auto News Toyota And Mazda Partners Up For New Alabama Plant Toyota And Mazda Partners Up For New Alabama Plant Auto News Eric | January 12, 2018 04:08 pm Toyota and Mazda have selected Huntsville, Alabama as their new joint-venture manufacturing plant.With an annual capacity of 300,000 vehicles, the new plant will feature two split assembly lines for each company to produce their own vehicles, including a new Mazda crossover and the Toyota Corolla.The new joint-venture manufacturing plant represents a $1.6 billion investment that both companies plan to make with equal funding contributions. The new plant is approximately 14 miles away from Toyota’s Alabama plant.Expected to create up to 4,000 new jobs, the new plant is forecasted to go online by 2021.“Mazda makes cars with a clear vision of how we want to inspire people, contribute to society and help preserve the beauty of the earth.
