Home News Auto News Updated Proton Exora Launched, Priced From RM 59,800 Updated Proton Exora Launched, Priced From RM 59,800 Auto News Eric | May 29, 2019 10:20 am Following an announcement made by Proton earlier this month, the company has officially introduced the updated Exora.This marks the third time the long-serving model has been updated, as it was updated twice since its introduction in 2009. The first update came in 2011 when the model received its turbocharged engine, and the second update was revealed in 2017.For its third update, Proton has decided to maintain the exterior design of the new Exora, opting instead to enhance the new model with subtle details.Below are the new features on the updated Exora, though most are limited to the Premium variant:Shark-fin antenna7-inch touchscreen head unit with GKUI software‘Hi Proton’ voice command systemNew meter cluster with segmented LCD multi-info displayUSB charging portsNew seat and door trim upholsteryRear view mirror with clear plastic bezelUnder the hood of the updated Proton Exora range is the tried-and-tested 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that outputs 140 PS and 203 Nm, sent to the front wheels via a Punch-sourced CVT-type automatic transmission. Safety equipment include dual airbags, ESC, ABS, EBD, and all-round disc brakes. It is worth noting that between 2015 and 2017, the now-discontinued Super Premium variant of the Exora was available with 4 airbags. Today's Exora only offers 2 airbags.Still no ISOFIX child seat mounts or even a three-point seat belt for the centre second row passenger.Prices start from RM 59,800 for the Exora 1.6T Executive, while the 1.6T Premium will set buyers back for RM 66,800. Compared to the predecessor model, this marks a reduction of RM 2,208.24 for the Executive variant and a RM 2,547.41 for the Premium variant (previously known as the Executive Plus).In addition to the reduced prices, Proton is offering an Extra Value package for buyers of the new Exora, which includes a service package, Internet data package, interest rate package, and insurance package.On top of that, for buyers who purchase their Exora by this year can further enjoy a five-year or 11 times free labour service package, while the first 1,000 customers can further enjoy free road tax for two years for private buyers and free road tax for one year for corporate buyers.Looking for a new Proton?
