2016 Proton Persona Bookings Exceed 10,000 Units; Overwhelming Demand For Premium Variant

Proton today announced that the all-new Persona which was launched last month has already received more than 10,000 bookings, which according to Proton, is far beyond its expectations.

Speaking at a press conference after the launch of the all-new Saga earlier today, Datuk Ahmad Fuaad Mohd Kenali, the CEO of Proton said that the Premium CVT variant of the Persona, surprisingly, is the version which has received the highest number of orders compared to the other three trim levels.

When asked if there have been delays in delivery due to the high number of bookings, he said that Proton is ramping up the production for the Persona Premium CVT in order to ensure that the cars get delivered on time.

The new Persona is currently offered in four variants:

• Persona Standard MT - RM46,800
• Persona Standard CVT - RM49,800
• Persona Executive CVT - RM55,800
• Persona Premium CVT - RM59,800
