The new model could be a preview of the new generation Vento, as Volkswagen Brazil has a long history of developing models that are unique to their own market, and too early to conclude that next generation Vento/Polo Sedan will look like the Virtus.Based on the all-new Polo’s MQB A0 platform, the new Virtus comes in at 4,480 mm long with a 2,650 mm wheelbase, with the latter identical to the current Jetta. Boot space is 521 litres, an increase over the Vento’s 454 litres. The interior of the Volkswagen Virtus also closely mirrors that of the Polo, as the former can be had with the 10.25-inch Active Info Display that replaces the traditional instrument cluster with a digital one. Elsewhere, the range-topping variant is equipped with an eight-inch infotainment system that integrates Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.In terms of powertrain, the Brazilian Volkswagen Virtus is available with two engines.
