Cool Premium Features To Try When You Test Drive A Volkswagen

Volkswagen vehicles are loaded with technology, offering performance and features that match, sometimes even surpass, that of supposedly premium cars.

Already, Volkswagen cars are known for their superior performance and economy made possible by the technological advancement of their TSI engines and DSG transmissions, but are there more to these cars than just being very nice to drive?

Well, it turns out that there are a number of features in Volkswagen cars that also happen to make them rather nice to live with, and here are some of them that you may want to experience the next time you have the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a Volkswagen.

Active Info Display

The future of instrument clusters, Volkswagen’s Active Info Display transforms your old school meter panel into a large screen which visually impresses with crisp images and vibrant colours. The display mimics the appearance of a conventional instrument cluster in normal driving, but is able to adjust itself to show a variety of information in various interactive manners.

Park Assist 3.0

The latest refinement of Volkswagen’s Park Assist technology is now able to self-park your car in three possible arrangements – parallel, reverse-in perpendicular, and forward-in perpendicular.

‘Easy Open’ Rear Boot

Imagine walking to your car with both hands full with your groceries; or that your boot latch is simply too dirty to touch with your bare hands. The ‘Easy Open’ system allows you to pop the boot open with just a kick of your leg without needing you to touch any part of the car.

Triple-Zone Climatronic

Rear air-con vents are a must have in our climate, but Volkswagen’s triple-zone Climatronic system goes one step further by providing rear passengers their own freedom to control the temperature at their part of the cabin. On long distance journeys, this ensures everyone on board is able to travel in maximum comfort in their own preferred climate setting

App-Connect Infotainment

App-Connect projects selected apps from your smartphone on the 8-inch infotainment touchscreen using MirrorLink, Android Auto, or Apple CarPlay. The system is valued at RM1,099 but can be added for just RM699 in the Tiguan 1.4 TSI Highline and complimentary on the Passat 1.8 TSI Comfortline and Comfortline Plus variants. It is standard in the Passat 2.0 TSI Highline.

All of the above features can be experienced first hand when you test drive a Passat or Tiguan at your nearest Volkswagen outlet today.
