In celebration of International Women’s Day, Ford launched a short inspirational video based on the true story of Panaporn Prangsuwan, a female engineer at the Ford Thailand Manufacturing (FTM) facility in Rayong.
The video begins with Panaporn telling how she was always different since childhood, as she was not one of those who were interested in playing with dolls.
The story goes on to show all the struggles and challenges she faced while studying, applying for a job as an engineer, and even in her early days as a technical staff in a male dominated industry.

However, being the determined person she is, Panaporn managed to defy all odds and became one of the top engineers in the Rayong plant, earning credits from even the big bosses for her contribution in some of the projects.
That said, the video ends with the Final Assembly Engineer saying that she has fulfilled her dreams, further urging everyone to not give up and keep pursuing our dreams.
It is also worth noting that the Managing Director of Ford Thailand is Ms. Yukontorn (Vickie) Wisadkosin. She also holds a concurrent regional role as Director of Marketing and Sales at Ford ASEAN.
