Crowned the 2018 World Car of the Year at last year’s New York Auto Show, the XC60 is one of the best SUVs on sale today. Being a Volvo, it clearly sets the benchmark for safety. Like all new generations of Volvo styled by Thomas Ingelath, the XC60 now also stands for style, luxury, comfort, and performance. From now until August, Volvo Car Malaysia will be offering the XC60 with an interest rate of just 0.62 percent – the lowest for any premium make.
Locally, the XC60 is available in three variants – T5 Momentum (RM298,888), T8 Inscription (RM333,888), and T8 Inscription Plus (RM343,888).
The T8 variants are powered by a 407 hp/640 Nm plug-in hybrid 2.0-litre turbocharged engine while the T5 is powered by a 254 hp/350 Nm 2.0-litre turbocharged engine.
Inside, the XC60’s cabin is one of the most luxurious in its class. Volvo’s Scandinavian interpretation of luxury is characterized by a clutter-free, user-friendly layout, marrying form and function in a uniquely Scandinavian manner.
Details like the slender air vents with diamond-pattern control knobs, engine start-stop button, and Driftwood decor give the XC60’s cabin a strong sense of craftsmanship.
Advanced driving aids like City Safety steps in to stop and steer the car away from danger should be the driver be, for whatever reason, unable to react in time. It’s the only model in its class to offer such a comprehensive suite of safety features - you wouldn't expect any less from a Volvo.
The Pilot Assist also takes the stress out of every day driving. By using a combination of highly precise radar and cameras, the XC60 is capable of driving semi-autonomously in certain traffic conditions, thus reducing driving fatigue.
The 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio offers class leading sound reproduction and clarity.
