Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Introduces The 2021 Mercedes-AMG A45 S 4MATIC+ And CLA 45 S 4MATIC+.

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has just unveiled the regular Mercedes-AMG A45 S 4MATIC+ and an updated CLA 45 S 4MATIC+.

The successful introduction of Mercedes-AMG compact cars last year is set to continue into 2021 as Mercedes-Benz Malaysia have updated their inventory and introduced the regular W177 Mercedes-AMG A45 S 4MATIC+ and an updated C118 CLA 45 S 4MATIC+.

The Mercedes-AMG A45 S 4MATIC+ will be replacing the sold-out  Mercedes-AMG A45 S 4MATIC+ Edition 1 model, while the new CLA 45 S 4MATIC+ is an updated version of last year's compact performance saloon that comes with extra bits of gear.

The absence of the Edition 1 tag takes away all of the Edition 1's add-ons, including Edition 1 graphics on the aluminium interior trim and dashboard as well as Edition 1 side decals. On the inside, the AMG Performance seats now come with red highlights instead of yellow, and the seat belts are also red. Those with sharp eyes will also notice that the Edition 1's panoramic sunroof is also no longer there.

Everything else is retained, including the loud and shouty AMG Aerodynamics bits of bodykit and the AMG Night package pieces of trim, which gives the hot hatch some gloss black highlights throughout its exterior.

On the other hand, the updated CLA 45 S 4MATIC+ gets a bit more kit, namely the head-up display that projects essential driving information on the windshield just above the steering wheel and rear side airbags to match its hatchback sibling.

Both cars are equipped with the familiar Mercedes-AMG's M139 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which has an output of 416hp and  500Nm of torque. The powerplant is paired with an eight-speed AMG Speedshift DCT 8G dual-clutch transmission as well as the AMG Performance 4Matic+ all-wheel-drive system. AMG Track Pace data logger and AMG Ride Control suspension are also standard on both cars. Illuminated AMG door sill panels and the MBUX infotainment system with two 10.25-inch widescreen displays also remain.

The Mercedes-AMG A45 S 4MATIC+ has a price tag of RM437,673.41, while the CLA 45 S 4MATIC+ is slightly more expensive coming in at RM453,374.19.
