Nasim Launches New Peugeot 3008 SUV Plus And 5008 SUV Plus

The second half of 2019 begins with a bang for Nasim Sdn Bhd, as they launch the new Peugeot 3008 SUV Plus and the Peugeot 5008 SUV Plus. This pair of SUVs have won numerous awards in the last few years, but this year sees them being shifted to local assembly at Naza Automotive Manufacturing, which will function as a hub for Southeast Asia.

The styling and specifications for these new models largely follows that of before, although being locally assembled the number of features have increased. New roof rail designs and chrome side mirrors add a touch of class, as well as a new panoramic sunroof and sport 18-inch alloy wheels for both the 3008 and 5008.

On the inside, both cars pack Claudia leather seats, with either Graphite or Goa stitching depending on the variant. Leather and fabric materials cover most touch points, while blue mood lighting adds a touch of class in an otherwise utilitarian segment.

The Peugeot i-Cockpit makes a return, with a new navigation function embedded in the 8-inch multifunction colour touch screen, with the 12.3-inch heads-up digital cluster display being updated with the addition of an Onyx graphical style, a new Driving Assistance display mode, and Personal modes.

There’s a smart motorised tailgate for both models to ease access when loading and unloading the boot, along with a kick function for hands free operation. But more important than easy access is the new suite of driver assistance systems, from Driver Attention Alert, to Speed Limit Recognition and Recommendation, 180 degree reverse camera with stitching function, and an upgraded Blind Spot Information System and Active Lane Departure Warning.

Both the 3008 and 5008 get Nera Black, Pearl White, Amazonite Grey, and the new Aster Gray colour, while the 3008 gets a Metallic Copper and the 5008 gets Emerald Crystal as exclusive colours.

So what’s the pricing like? The base variant of the 3008 SUV Plus, known as the Active model, goes for RM 150,888, climbing to RM 163,888 for the Allure variant. For the 5008 SUV Plus, the price starts at RM 166,888 for the Active variant, and RM 179,888 for the Allure variant.
