Toyota And Shell To Offer Free Vehicle Inspection For All Makes And Models This Raya

In conjunction with the upcoming festive season, UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) and Shell Malaysia have launched the “Balik Kampung Safety Campaign” in an effort to make things safer for the thousands of Malaysians who will be embarking on their ‘balik kampung’ journeys.

As part of the campaign, UMWT and Shell Malaysia are offering 36-point free inspections to vehicles of all makes at 20 selected Shell stations nationwide, where trained personnel from Toyota will be conducting the inspections.

The participating Shell stations are:

“We have carefully identified Shell stations for the free vehicle inspections. They were selected not only based on convenient locations but also the integrated offerings available at these stations,” said Shairan Huzani Husain, Managing Director of Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn. Bhd.

The free vehicle inspections will start from 10am to 5pm on the following dates at selected Shell stations:  

This offer is open to Toyota vehicles and other car brands as well. Each inspection should take less than 15 minutes. Car owners who send their vehicles for the free vehicle inspection will also receive a goodie bag (while stocks last).

Toyota car owners however, will receive a 10% discount voucher for selected parts purchased at Toyota Service Centres. On top of that, the first 10 customers of the day will receive a RM10 fuel voucher from Shell Malaysia.

UMWT said that this collaboration with Shell Malaysia also enables Toyota car owners with outstanding recall for Takata airbag, to replace their airbag inflator system (subject to eligibility and car model) at these selected Shell stations.

The replacement work will take around 1 hour depending on the car model. Owners who are uncertain if their vehicle is on the recall list for airbag replacement can check via Toyota Malaysia's official website or at the service counters at these Shell stations.

For Toyota customers who are eligible for airbag replacement, UMWT will be giving a Service Discount Booklet as well.
