The Volvo V60 wagon’s interior has bagged a spot as one of the Wards Top 10 Best Interiors of 2019.
Every year, the Wards editors evaluate significantly redesigned interiors with a focus on fit-and-finish, ergonomics, materials, comfort, and aesthetics. For 2019, 32 nominees were considered, of which, the best 10 make the annual list.
According to Wards, “The Swedish brand expertly weaves an upholstered plaid interior that is visually stunning, environmentally friendly and uniquely European. But beyond the fabric, the V60 shines as the interior achieves a soothing sense of design harmony with soft-touch surfaces complemented by glistening hard trim,”
Launched last year, the Volvo V60 is based on the company’s Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform which also underpins the 90-series models (S90, XC90), and thus features the award-winning Sensus infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration. The central tablet-style touch screen units controls air-conditioning, navigation, and connectivity functions.
Elsewhere, the V60 also touts key interior elements such as a panoramic moonroof, aluminium inlays, and the new city-weave textile interior.
The V60 is the second model in Volvo’s current lineup to be shortlisted in the Wards Top 10 lists after the XC90 in 2016.
