Renault Malaysia Launches E-Store

It must be a very confusing time for sales and marketing staff who grew up in the golden age of bricks and mortar retail. These days quite nearly everything can be bought online – from food to gadgets and even services – and it only makes sense that eventually you could buy an entire car online.

Various companies have dabbled with the idea as they partnered up with e-commerce websites like Lazada for special promotions, but TC Euro Cars (TCEC) has gone ahead and brought an entire Renault E-Store to Malaysian consumers.

Yes, this would make them the first in Malaysia – and consumers have a choice of either buying a car or subscribing to a car on the Renault Malaysia website. Renault Malaysia knows that the process of buying a car can be a tedious one, from arranging test drives to physically having to be there for various processes – and they’re doing away with all of it with this website.

It’s an entire end-to-end solution, as customers can select the Renault model and colour of their choice, make the booking fee payment, submit necessary documents, submit trade-in valuation details, provide bank loan preferences, view the status of their new vehicle, and even indicate preference of vehicle collection from either a Renault Showroom or delivered to the location of their choice (for an additional fee) – and all without ever having to leave the house.

If you’re still the kind of person that needs to test drive a vehicle, you can arrange for that too via the website as well. Specific to the Renault Captur is a three-hour pressure free test drive without an accompanying sales person thanks to TCEC’s partnership with GoCar.

The Renault E-Store is now live at www.renault.com.my

Places more value in how fun a car is to drive than outright performance or luxury. He laments the direction that automotive development is headed in, but grudgingly accepts the logic behind it. Can be commonly found trying to fix yet another problem on his rusty project car.
