BFGoodrich announces two new tyres for Malaysian market

BFGoodrich, the American tyre brand which also happens to be a subsidiary of Michelin Malaysia here since 1988, announced the introduction of two new tyres earlier today at a launch event held at The Glasshouse in Seputeh, Kuala Lumpur.

The tyres launched were the on-road BFGoodrich Advantage T/A Drive and T/A SUV tyres, and the new off-road BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2.

The BFGoodrich Advantage T/A Drive and T/A SUV road tyres, which promise to offer better grip and longer lasting ride at an affordable price, feature enhanced symmetric tread design with rigid tread blocks and shoulder, as well as “jagged” grooves for better handling.  

Meanwhile, the BFGoodrich All -Terrain T/A KO2 is designed purely for off-roading is BFGoodrich’s most durable tyre to date, 20 per cent stronger than its predecessor, the KO. It is said that the KO2 was also engineered to last 15 percent longer on asphalt.

In addition, the KO2 improves its already legendary tradition of all-terrain performance with 10 percent greater traction in the mud compared to the previous-generation KO tyre.

While the BFGoodrich Advantage T/A Drive and T/A SUV tyres are available in Malaysia in sizes between 13 to 18 inches, the All-Terrain T/A KO2 tyre is already available since January 2016 in sizes 15 to 18 inches.

According to the company, the BFGoodrich Advantage T/A Drive and T/A SUV are priced from as low as RM100 per piece for 13-inchers, while the price for the All-Terrain T/A KO2 starts from RM1,000 per piece.
