Honda Malaysia to replace batteries in cars produced between 2003 and 2016

Aswan March 7, 2016 18:16

As part of another proactive measure from Honda Malaysia, 93,929 of their vehicles will be required to go through a product update. The update covers the replacement of the 12V car battery, which has been found to be potentially defective. As of yet, there have been no injuries or damage as a result of this defect- but owners who are affected by this will be informed via letter- after which they can choose to send their car in for an inspection and replacement if need be. All charges related to the replacement will be borne by Honda Malaysia.

If you have one of the Hondas purchased below, expect a letter to come in soon (or perhaps give your service centre a call):

List of models affected by update
Civic2010, 2012 & 2013
CR-V            2013
Jazz2009, 2012 & 2013, 2015 & 2016
