Shanghai 2019: The All-New Nissan Sylphy Is The Best Looking One Yet

The all-new Nissan Sylphy has been unveiled at the 2019 Shanghai Motor Show, sporting a new look and featuring the latest Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies.

On the exterior, the Sylphy now features a lower profile and a more streamlined exterior which translates into a drag coefficient of just 0.26 – equal to that of the Nissan GT-R.

Key features include the black grille with a three-dimensional V-motion design, an aggressive looking front fascia, full LED head lights and tail lamps, a wide stance, as well as a sculpted, muscular looking bonnet.

Inside, taking centre-stage is a new dashboard with an 8-inch display, new steering wheel design, followed by a 7-inch, a high-definition thin-film transistor monitor inside the meter assembly, a generous dose of leather, and luxurious looking stitchings on the seats among others.

Powering the new Sylphy will be Nissan’s new 1.6-litre HR16DE intelligent drive engine which is paired with an Xtronic CVT-type transmission. Nissan also said that it has enhanced steering, suspension, and body rigidity to offer improved handling and deliver a more dynamic driving feel. Performance figures are yet to be revealed by the company.

Where technology is concerned, there is smartphone connectivity, voice command, Integrated Dynamic Control Module, Intelligent Trace Control, Intelligent Ride Control, and Emergency Brake for Pedal Misapplication.

Last but not least, the list of safety features includes Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Cross Traffic Alert, and Intelligent Driving Alert.
